For anyone seeking connection and supports in times of trouble or difficulty, I'll be in your corner, to believe you, and to offer opportunity for growth and change.
Offering my version of a “brave space”, as described by Beth Strano, "There is no such thing as a “safe space”-We exist in the real world. We all carry scars and have caused wounds. This space seeks to turn down the volume of the world outside, and amplify voices that have to fight to be heard elsewhere".
I believe life brings various challenges that we are all working through.
Life experiences that I have supported include various mental health concerns, parenting struggles, and times of personal crisis or family conflicts. In these experiences it helps to have others to lean on and learn from.
We all contain multitudes, uniqueness, and creative possibility.
As a white clinician, I work to align my personal and professional life with my values of social justice, anti-racism and anti-oppression.
I live in Colchester, Vermont with my wife and two kids. I am originally from the Boston area and have been privileged to live both internationally during my Peace Corps Services (RPCV Ghana 2011-2013) and in different parts of the country including Santa Fe, NM for many years.
I have been working with youth and families since 2006 in various roles. Today, I work part-time coordinating domestic and sexual violence services for children and youth and I provide therapy part-time.
Outside of my work as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) I spend time doing social justice and change work, reading good books, finding opportunities for creative expression, trying to keep plants alive, and wandering adventures both locally and beyond.
I live and work on Abenaki land and acknowledge both the gifts of their unique culture and living traditions as well as hold the truths of the historical trauma of colonization and ongoing oppressions.
